FILTER ANALYSIS RESULTS
In addition to continuous monitoring, Emission-Watch sends filters from their machines to be analysed. Filters are changed by a trained technician and sent to a well recognised and accredited laboratory. Filters are changed between 11am and midday on the date shown and the flow rate of air through the machine is 0.6 litres/minute, which is 2.16m3/hour or 51.84m3/day.

Positive readings are shown in bold type.

On occasions there will be gaps in the time periods of our analysis. This is due to circumstances beyond our control, for example routine maintenance or power failure. We apologise if this happens to coincide with a period in which you have a particular interest. Emission-Watch will not reveal the exact location of our air monitors for reasons of security, but we have taken especial care to place them so as to avoid contamination by known factors such as roads and trees.

The type of analysis performed on our filters will vary in accordance with the advice we receive and these results will be placed on to the web site. It is Charity Policy that if we find any worrying results we will first report these to the Environment Agency and then post these results on the web site one week later.
